Each year, Massage Warehouse oversees the creation of the Sanctuary, an area that provides spa treatments for donations, which are then given to the Massage Therapy Foundation.
At this year’s American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) National Convention, proceeds from the Sanctuary totaled $5,608.
The foundation is a leading research organization that advances the knowledge and practice of massage therapy by supporting scientific research, education and community service.
“Through corporate sponsorship as well as through the donations collected at the event, Sanctuary continues to be a huge success,” stated a Massage Warehouse press release. “Participants visit the working spa set up on the trade show floor, and for a donation of $10, they can receive one of six protocols designed for the feet as well as the face.”
Sanctuary partners this year included Bon Vital, Soothing Touch, Massage Magazine Performance Health, TH Stone, Sa Wan, Unique Skincare, Massage Today, Spot On Energy Patches, Custom Craftworks, Benefect, The Students and Faculty of Everest in Orlando Florida and the AMTA.
