A memorial service for a pioneer in the field of manual therapies will be held in Florida Dec. 15.

John E. Upledger. D.O., developed CranioSacral Therapy. Since Upledger Institute International was founded, in 1985, it has educated more than 90,000 practitioners in more than 56 countries.

At the helm of Upledger Institute International, Dr. Upledger oversaw development of SomatoEmotional Release, BioAquatic Exploration and numerous courses focused on applying CranioSacral Therapy to a variety of client populations and conditions.

He authored eight books, CranioSacral Therapy II–Beyond The Dura and Your Inner Physician and You among them.

The memorial service will be held at the Jupiter Beach Resort, in Jupiter, Florida, beginning at 2 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 15.
