Hawaii Bodyworkers RetreatMissouri massage therapist wins 2015 AMTA National Convention Tuition Giveaway from Hawaii Bodyworkers Retreat

Hawaii Bodyworkers Retreat has recently announced that Kim White of Olakino Maika’i Therapeutic Massage and Spa Services, located in St. Louis, Missouri, was randomly selected as the winner of a free tuition to one of its 2016 retreat sessions. White’s name was drawn from a group of 493 persons who registered at the Hawaii Bodyworkers Retreat booth during the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) National Convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this past August.

An AMTA member, White utilizes a holistic approach to addressing each individual client’s needs, including therapeutic massage modalities, body wraps and therapeutic facials. “I am very excited and thrilled! I can’t wait to come,” White said in response to the news. “I’ve read about Huna before, so I’m intrigued to study about it. I’ll be like a sea sponge and absorb all there is to learn! I have told everyone about this and am honored that you would even consider me. You have no idea how much this means to me and I look forward to it.”

George Davis of Hawaii Bodyworkers Retreat commented, “I find it very serendipitous that Kim was chosen at random, because after we drew her name and checked out her website, goodhealthybody.org, we discovered that her practice has a decidedly Hawaiian flavor. The name of her practice, Olakino Maika’i, is actually a combination of the Hawaiian words for healthy, body and good. She’s absolutely going to love having Huna, a traditional Hawaiian energy system, as part of her repertoire.”

In addition to the tuition giveaway, delegates who stopped by the Hawaii Bodyworkers Retreat booth received la’i kupe’e, or Ti leaf lei bracelets, Macadamia Nut Hershey’s Kisses, which are only available in Hawaii, as well as shell leis for those who signed up for the drawing. The booth also had Hawaiian music playing and a beautiful photo book of the facility where the six-day continuing education and Hawaiian vacation experience is held. Hawaii Bodyworkers Retreat is already signed up as an exhibitor for the 2016 AMTA Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and plans on holding another free tuition giveaway there.
