Guidelines for the Massage Therapy Foundation’s 2009 Student Case Report Contest are now available.

In August the foundation announced its 2008 student recipients.
The foundation’s mission is advance the knowledge and practice of massage therapy by supporting scientific research, education and community service.

Students entering the Case Report Contest “must report on independent clinical interventions on one client with guidance from a case report supervisor and a clinic supervisor. This includes doing a literature review on the presenting condition, creating and implementing a treatment plan in accordance with the literature, the needs of the client, and the students’ expertise, writing up the results, discussing the implications of the outcomes, and offering suggestions for future study,” according to the guidelines.
