Non-human animals need massage too. National Pet Week is May 2-8, and massage therapists can use this nationally designated week to educate and inform the public about the benefits of massage to cats, dogs, horses and other animals, and to market an animal-massage practice.
Animal-related massage specialties include equine massage; massage for pets such as dogs and cats; and massage for working dogs, such as those that perform search-and-rescue duties.
