Both Shows Make List of Leading U.S. Trade Shows, Expo West Named Greenest Show

BOULDER, Colo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–New Hope Natural Media, producers of the leading natural products trade shows in the U.S. and abroad, has recently been awarded national honors for its industry gatherings Natural Products Expo West (www.expowest.com) and Natural Products Expo East (www.expoeast.com).
Trade Show Executive named both shows in its 2nd Annual “Gold 100” list of top U.S. trade shows, and the publication chose Natural Products Expo West as “The Leader in Green Initiatives” for the second year running. Trade Show Executive selected Natural Products Expo West based on the dozens of eco-friendly practices put in place at the Anaheim, Calif., event, including: providing an energy offset program for the venue and travel; creating a donation/contribution plan for local and national charities and nonprofit organizations; providing a paperless press room; and creating environmentally friendly booth packages.

Additionally, both shows were included in the annual Tradeshow Week listing of the top 200 shows produced in the U.S. in 2008, based on overall square footage. Natural Products Expo West climbed the ranks from No. 75 on the list in 2007 to No. 69 in 2008, and Natural Products Expo East jumped from 159 to 116.
Additionally, the New Hope Natural Media Standards Department was recently honored by the Food and Drug Administration for its diligence in following strict standards in screening exhibitors at Natural Products Expo East and ensuring that all information presented in the show’s publications and events is compliant with guidelines of the FDA, Department of Agriculture and Federal Trade Commission.
Natural Products Expo East/Organic Products Expo-BioFach America was held Sept. 23-26 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. Next year’s show will take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Oct. 13-16, 2010.
Natural Products Expo West/Supply Expo will be held March 11-14, 2010, at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. The 2009 event, held in March, occupied nearly 330,000 square feet and featured more than 1,900 exhibiting companies from 28 countries.
