March 2009 — The National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure & Massage (NBCAAM) announces new membership categories for every level of practitioner and supporter. All include membership benefits which will help the individual or group become part of a nationwide effort to improve, standardize, promote and grow professions in animal acupressure and massage. Depending on the level of benefits, benefits include many different networking, educational and advertising opportunities.

Practitioners, students and schools of animal massage and acupressure, as well as suppliers and supporters of these professions are all invited to go to www.nbcaam.org to learn more about membership requirements, levels and how to join online. 

NBCAAM Membership Levels:

Student:  $25 annually

Benefits:  Access to NBCAAM website, downloadable professional articles, networking opportunities, discounted courses from participating schools and internship listing

Certified Practitioner: $99 annually (first year is free after passing NBCAAM exam)

Benefits:  All benefits listed above as well as listing in Directory of Certified Practitioners on NBCAAM website, official NBCAAM Practitioner’s Certificate, reciprocal hotlink, use of NBCAAM logo and downloadable Ethics Certification

Massage/Acupressure School:  $299 annually

Benefits: All benefits from Student membership as well as listing in Directory of Recognized Schools on NBCAAM website, display of school logo on NBCAAM website, hotlink to school’s website, and use of NBCAAM logo. Schools will also receive practical tools for expanding recruitment efforts, enhancing curriculum, developing faculty and improving school performance

Individual Supporting Member:  $149 annually

Benefits for individuals not practicing animal acupressure or massage: Listing on NBCAAM website of up to 30 words, networking opportunities and website information

Business Supporting Member:  $299 annually

Benefits for businesses in related fields, but not practicing animal acupressure or massage: Company logo on NBCAAM website with business description of up to 50 words, hotlink to business’ website, networking opportunities
