OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois (Jan. 12, 2010) – The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) announced today that Director Monica Reno has submitted her resignation from the NCBTMB Board of Directors, effective Jan. 1, 2010. Reno was elected to the Board in 2005 and was in her second term of office.
Chair Neal Delaporta stated, “We wish to thank Monica for her long-standing service to and support of NCBTMB, and the numerous contributions she has made to our organization. We wish her well in all of her future endeavors, as she pursues other personal and professional interests.”
The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) was established in 1992 as an independent, private, nonprofit organization fostering the highest standards of ethical and professional practice in the delivery of therapeutic massage and bodywork through a recognized credentialing program. NCBTMB examinations are currently accepted or recognized in statute or rule by 35 states, plus the District of Columbia. There are currently more than 90,000 professionals with NCBTMB certification. The NCBTMB’s certification programs have been accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
