The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) is inviting feedback from NCBTMB Approved Providers, as it moves forward on revising its approval program.
The NCBTMB has posted a video to describe the proposed changes. Three changes outlined in the video are:
1. All courses taught by approved providers will be catalogued with an i.d. number, with the intention of helping ensure the quality of the material,
2. Course quality will be verified through review of a minimum of 20 percent of the provider’s portfolio.
3. There will be a quality audit program to help ensure the data provided to the NCBTMB is integrous.
The fees to obtain and maintain approval will rise as well.
Along with the video, a survey posted to the NCBTMB’s website will help capture feedback on the proposed changes.
