The $1 million lawsuit brought by former National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) Executive Director John Page against the NCBTMB and former NCBTMB Board Chairperson Elizabeth McInytre, for wrongful termination of employment, has been settled.

Page’s employment ended in August 2006, 15 months after he took the position of executive director. The settlement, the terms of which are being kept confidential, was reached out of court.

Page told MASSAGE Magazine he was happy to have the suit behind him and that it was “nice to be able to move on with the record straight.” He also provided the same statement that the NCBTMB did:
“The National Certification Board For Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Inc. and John A. Page, former Executive Director of NCBTMB, have reached an amicable settlement of all disputes between them, the terms of which have not been released.”
