A new app for mobile devices lets massage clients locate professional therapists in New York City.

The Zeel app was featured recently on ABC News.

The app’s users can search for types of massage and same-day appointments, among other features.

They are encouraged to “Tell us your location, what kind of massage you prefer (Swedish or deep tissue), appointment length (60 or 90 minutes), preferred ZMT gender (male, female or no preference), and available appointment times.”

“We sign up therapists to a fixed pricing contract that pays them a fair share – about 75-80 percent of the total cost of the massage, including tip, rather than the traditional 45-60 percent share, including tip, at spas and salons,” Zeel CEO Samer Hamadeh told MASSAGE Magazine. “We also verify the identity of customers through Experian to maximize the safety of Zeel Massage Therapists. In addition, our therapists are vetted in person and licensed in their states of practice.”
