A prestigious university will soon launch research into the effects of Swedish massage on cancer-related fatigue in cancer survivors, according to an article, “Emory to study Swedish massage therapy in cancer survivors,” published in the Atlanta Business Chronicle today.

“A clinical trial involving up to 72 breast cancer survivors is scheduled to begin this month and run through April 2015,” the article noted. “The primary aim of the study is to determine whether a six-week Swedish massage therapy treatment can decrease cancer-related fatigue.”

Emory is considered one of the leading research institutions worldwide. It is located in Atlanta, Georgia.
