New York Sports Clubs (NYSC), the largest owner and operator of fitness clubs in the tri-state area with 112 locations, today announced the opening of its NYSC Dobbs Ferry location, its thirteenth in Westchester County. The new 35,000 square-foot, multi-recreational facility, located just off the Sawmill River Parkway at 50 Livingston Avenue, features full-court basketball, a 75-foot swimming pool, three group exercise studios, a member lounge, baby-sitting services, and an extensive array of the latest fitness equipment. Additionally, the club offers family changing rooms, and NYSC™s Sports Clubs for Kids “ a program of recreational athletics for kids featuring swimming lessons, sports leagues, birthday parties and special events.

NYSC™s fitness team has designed and programmed the facility to make members™ workouts enjoyable and efficient. Treadmills, ellipticals and other cardio machines, including the new AMT by Precor, are equipped with individual entertainment systems so that members can enjoy TV or music while they exercise. An extensive group exercise schedule offers a variety of classes in the large main studio, including step, total body conditioning and Boot Camp, while two other specialty studios feature cycling, pilates, yoga, and boxing programs. In addition, a dedicated personal training area enhances time spent with NYSC™s staff of professional trainers.

We are very excited to bring New York Sports Clubs to Dobbs Ferry said Alex Alimanestianu, CEO of New York Sports Clubs. This brand new building was specifically designed for us and it offers our members a convenient location, wonderful views and plenty of parking. It is a great compliment to our clubs in nearby Hawthorne, Hartsdale and Scarsdale.
