Proceeds from an online auction of new massage products will be used to help massage therapists affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The auction will run from 10 a.m. EDT Jan. 23 through the evening of Jan. 29, culminating with a free online concert. The link to the auction website will be announced tomorrow.

Massage Without Borders, headed up by educator Gloria Coppola, organized the event, with some top companies in the massage profession donating goods and services.

Among the brand-new items being auctioned off are:

The concert, which is co-sponsored by Erik Dalton, Ph.D., founder of the Freedom For Pain Institute; Massage Pro C.E.; and MASSAGE Magazine, will get going at 8 p.m. EDT and will feature performances by Karen Drucker, Marina Raye and others.
