More and more consumers are flocking to the internet to review their purchase options before buying. Sites such as YELP, Yahoo Local, and CitySearch, allow customers to post reviews about their business encounters and read views on places they think they might like to purchase from in the future. The sites also allow businesses, for a fee, to manage their own profiles as well as post ads and responses to the consumers’ thoughts. The concept is growing 4 percent faster than the internet itself and is attracting the attention of more and more consumers and businesses alike. A 2007 internet survey revealed that 24 percent of the respondents looked at a review site before making their purchase.
