Dr. Kuny Suzuki was born in Tokyo in 1942. At the ago of 18, he suffered from a disease called multiple articular rheumatism. The prescriptions for this condition caused him to suffer from many iatrogenic ailments, thereby causing him to have to fight against these ailments for the larger part of his youth. During this period, he was determined to become a medical doctor to relieve pain and restore the healthy body without the use of drugs. After graduating from Chuo University, he received private lessons from the chairman of the Acupressure Digital Therapy Association of Japan. Dr. Suzuki later moved to the United States in 1972 and graduated from Sawyer College. He went on to receive a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Oriental medicine from the Yuin Oriental Medical University. During this latter period, Dr. Suzuki opened the Oriental Medicine Pain Clinic in Los Angeles, and has been practicing this holistic medicine ever since.
