An online petition encourages Apple to require the Siri application, which recognizes voice commands and provides information from online sources, to cease recommending massage therapists when asked to provide business that offer “a happy ending.”

The petition letter reads in part: “Massage therapists have worked hard in the United States to be viewed by the general public as a legitimate business, with some types of massage even being accepted as genuine healthcare. At this time, thirty-eight states and the District of Columbia require some type of licensing for massage therapists. We had to study extensively, pass examinations, and are required to be ethical and professional. I want to be proud of my craft – and if someone asks Siri for a “happy ending”, maybe she should direct them to the nearest library!”
