A news report from Boulder, Colorado’s daily newspaper states that a private donation of more than $1.3 million will allow the Boulder College of Massage to reopen in July.

On June 19, MASSAGE Magazine reported the college was closing due to financial problems.

“The funding, pledged by Tulsa oilman David Chernicky, will help get the school back on sound financial footing with the U.S. Department of Education, restore its $400,000 real estate bond reserves and inject an additional $250,000 into its operations, [college President Dirk McCuistion] said,” the article in the Daily Camera newspaper stated.
