When a woman finds out she is pregnant, she begins to concentrate on eating right and taking care of herself in order to help provide a healthy environment for the baby she is carrying inside her womb…

“A monthly massage keeps you healthy and keeps the pregnancy healthy,” she said…

According to Snelson, who has also been a registered nurse for 30 years, pregnant women who are in pain can receive a massage, and it will take away much of their pain and discomfort…

Not only does the massage help relieve the mother’s discomfort, but according to Snelson, it also increases the blood supply to the uterus, which helps provide more oxygen and more nutrients to the baby…

Amie Jackson, who is expecting a baby in November, has been receiving massages from Snelson during her pregnancy, and she said they have been beneficial to her…

“I have had other pregnancy massages but they didn’t relieve the pain and tension,” Jackson said. “Becky knows what she is doing, and you can tell she really cares about what she is doing. She is a pregnant woman’s best friend…”

Snelson said she even encourages moms to come in for postpartum massages as the massages will help them recover from the delivery process…

In addition to administering the massage, Snelson said her obstetrics nursing background provides her with helpful information that she can relay to the mothers-to-be. She said she educates them on various pregnancy-related topics such as comfortable sleeping positions and techniques to use during labor and delivery that will help them relax and decrease some of the pain…

In addition to pregnancy massages, Snelson said she offers other types of massages such as relaxation and deep tissue massages.
