When I’m undertaking a new service or technique, such as Cranial Release Technique, I post information about it on a wall in my office. This way, my clients’ curiosity is peeked and they are ready to try it once my training is complete.
I talk to my clients before or after a session—never during—about services and products. I firmly believe in all the products I use, so, in a way, they sell themselves. I always have samples on hand of each product I use, so my clients can become familiar with them before making a purchase.
One more thing—never assume your client already knows about a service, technique or product. I use the expression, “You probably know this already, but…” and they will tell you “yes, or “no, I don’t.” It’s a very safe way to talk about information, products and the body without being pushy.
