A client once told me, “If you don’t face your fears, you’ll dance around them all your life.” That comment really struck me–especially since the day before I’d passed on the chance to go skydiving with a friend. I was just too scared. But this comment made me realize I had to do it, so I called my friend back and agreed to go. I can’t say I was completely fearless–it’s hard not to be scared when you’re jumping out of a plane–but when I was back on the ground, I knew I’d successfully faced one of my biggest fears and suddenly realized I could accomplish anything if I put my mind to it.
