I’ve been in practice for almost nine years; sports massage mainly, and now I’m in a medical office working with doctors, acupuncturists and a nurse. What I work on now is truly different: fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, Parkinson’s, neuropathy, hip replacement and post surgery—the list goes on. It’s given me the opportunity to strengthen my knowledge in my field, alongside medical professionals. I accept insurance and help as many as possible. These modalities are all therapeutic and could fall under medical massage because I work alongside physicians. I don’t think you need to, but it makes me feel better, knowing I have their guidance and backing. Health care is growing and needs us.
