When communicating with clients, I think the most important piece of advice is first to listen to clients. Understanding the client clearly first I believe is the most powerful way to communicate. I often try to repeat back what it is that I believe they have conveyed, so they can let me know whether I have understood what it is they need. These skills are not just necessary when performing the actual bodywork, but also when dealing with issues such as scheduling concerns and customer service. Once I have listened and understood my client, only then can I successfully communicate.
