Consumer attitudes and perceptions about spas is vital information for the spa industry, and the International SPA Association (ISPA) Foundation is dedicated to providing research on such topics.

Red Door Spas, a national day and resort spa operator, has donated $10,000 toward the research initiatives of the foundation, according to an ISPA press release.

“The ISPA Foundation is dedicated to continually providing research initiatives, like the consumer study, which are vital to the growth and success of the spa industry,” said ISPA President Lynne McNees. “The research will give us insight into spa-goers and non-spa-goers’ perceptions of the spa, and address important questions dealing with stress.”

More information regarding the progress of the consumer research will be available during the 2011 ISPA Conference & Expo, held November 7-9 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.
