To complement the article “Rejuvenate with Essential Oils: A Mutual Benefit for Client and Therapist,” in the July 2014 issue of MASSAGE Magazine. Summary: A certified aromatherapist shares two recipes of interest to massage therapists: Summer Rejuvenating Face Massage Blend and Rejuvenating Body and Mind Blend.
Stress and daily life challenges can wear down our mind, body and spirit. Aromatherapy oils coupled with massage therapy breathe new life into your clients’ physical, emotional and spiritual realms. Rejuvenating, invigorating and bringing renewed energy to your client’s mind and body helps her be more peaceful and happy, and feel and look younger.
Some essential oils rejuvenate and renew skin, while others rejuvenate and revitalize mind and body. Rejuvenating essential oils for the skin include geranium, carrot seed, lavender and frankincense.
Revitalizing essential oils for body and mind include grapefruit, tangerine, peppermint and fragonia™. Fragonia is one of the most holistically harmonized and balanced essential oils for promoting a peaceful and rejuvenated mind.
Using carrier oils as a medium to deliver essential oils also has rejuvenating and revitalizing properties. Some summer favorites include argan oil, jojoba oil, rosehip seed oil and coconut oil.
