OKEMOS, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–As healthcare costs rise, Renaissance Life & Health Insurance Company of America (Renaissance America) is doing more to provide its members with access to affordable health services by expanding its Renaissance Healthy Savings Card – a health service discount program used to complement health insurance or provide discounts on its own.
The Renaissance Healthy Savings Card will now utilize the Careington network for dental services, which provides 20 to 50 percent savings on most dental procedures through the nationwide network of more than 62,000 participating dentist locations. As an added program, the Renaissance Healthy Savings Card will now provide members with even more access to health care savings through Whole Health Network’s chiropractic and alternative medicine services.
“We are delighted to offer our members access to Careington’s dental network as well as access to savings on chiropractic and alternative health services in addition to our discounts on pharmaceutical, vision and hearing services,” said Tonya Draughon, director of national business and product development, Renaissance America.“The Renaissance Healthy Savings Card is an affordable option for individuals – with or without insurance – to maintain their overall health through access to savings on the health care services and products they need most.”
Current Renaissance Healthy Savings Card members receive savings from the WholeHealth Network at no additional charge for the first year. The savings includes discounts of 10 to 30 percent on chiropractic and alternative health therapies available from more than 30,000 practitioners nationwide, as well as 25 percent savings on vitamins and nutritional supplements. These alternative therapies include diet and nutritional counselors, personal trainers, acupuncturists, holistic health practitioners, massage therapy and much more.
“We are thrilled that Renaissance has selected Careington to provide our dental and wellness products. By adding dental and alternative health discounts to the Renaissance Healthy Savings Card, individuals now have even more ways to fill in benefit gaps,” said Chuck Misasi, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Careington. “With these additional health care services, individuals will be able to further reduce the financial burden of health care expenses.”
Renaissance Healthy Savings Card members will continue to receive pharmaceutical, vision and hearing services available through Caremark, EyeMed Vision Care and Beltone, respectively. Membership fees are $80 annually ($7.50 a month), with savings extended to all household family members. The program is not available in California, Nevada, Montana or Vermont.
