Leaders in seaweed-based professional skin care, Repêchage, have recently launched a Spanish Facebook page. The social-media-savvy skin care giant already maintains English U.S. and U.K Facebook pages, but sees a growing need to reach the Spanish speaking beauty professionals as well as consumers.
“For Latina women (and men), looking good is a cultural imperative. Most women wouldn’t dream of leaving the house without lipstick.” Not only are a majority of Hispanics concerned with their personal appearance, but they are growing in numbers. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are roughly 50.5 million Hispanics in the U.S. and the number is only going up, which gives them control of “$1.2 trillion in spending power.”
“Bringing customized skin care to our clients has always been one of our major focuses,” said Repêchage CEO and Founder Lydia Sarfati. “Marketing is no different, we need to present our products in customized platforms so that our client’s know we are truly intoned to their needs.”
