People with advanced chronic venous insufficiency experienced significant and long-lasting improvements in their condition during and after intensive balneotherapy, or bathing therapy, according to recent research.
The study, “Randomized trial of balneotherapy associated with patient education in patients with advanced chronic venous insufficiency,” involved 59 subjects with chronic venous insufficiency.
Prior research showed that balneotherapy eased osteoarthritis.
A full research report on this study will run in the print edition of MASSAGE Magazine’s April issue.
