Massage therapists interested in learning the nuts-and-bolts details of research grants and proposal-approval processes may attend the first annual Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation Research Training and Project Funding Symposium.
The symposium will be held March 29, 2012, from 6:30-9:00 p.m., in conjunction with the Third International Fascia Research Congress. It will focus on funding mechanisms and grant proposal review methodology and will include presentations by leading scientists, according to a congress press release. “Part of the symposium will be a mock review of research projects and grant proposals, similar to the panel of scientists who review proposals for funding agencies,” the press release noted.
Interested people must be registered for the congress to participate in the symposium, and register separately for the symposium. The deadline for advance registration for the symposium is February 15, 2012, but space is limited to 50 participants.
