The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) has just announced the recipient of its Jerome Perlinski Teacher of the Year Award is Rick Garbowski of the Georgia Massage School.
The award honors the memory of the late educator, Jerome Perlinski.
Garbowski owns and directs the Georgia Massage School, located in in Suwanee. He holds certifications and advanced trainings in massage therapy, clinical sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, manual lymphatic drainage and orthopedic massage.
A statement from AMTA noted that Garbowski was selected in part due to his creative and innovative teaching style.
Each year, AMTA presents this award to an instructor in an AMTA member school who demonstrates exceptional teaching abilities and commitment to high standards of education in massage therapy.
The award is presented during the AMTA National Convention, to be held this year in Fort Worth, Texas, Sept. 25-28.
