Schools that offer community-outreach programs have until December 31 to apply for a grant through a leading massage-supply company’s education partnership.
BIOTONE announced Nov. 12 that it will accept applications through the end of this year for its 2008 Edu-Partner Community Outreach Award Program. BIOTONE will award two massage schools $2,500 each for volunteer massage therapy programs conducted during 2008 that help individuals in their community and at the same time provide massage students with an educational experience.
The BIOTONE Community Outreach Award is part of the company’s Edu-Partner initiative in which BIOTONE helps schools raise their visibility among prospective students, and schools can participate with the company in joint marketing activities. To date, some 800 schools participate in the BIOTONE Edu-Partner program.
Criteria for award consideration include impact of the program on the community, benefit to recipients and ability to meet stated goals. Only BIOTONE Edu-Partner Schools are eligible for the Award. BIOTONE will announce the award recipients in February 2009.
To be considered, a program must be completed by the end of the year. For an application form, go here and click on Community Outreach Award.
