And in 2022 the company recorded nearly $600 million in systemwide sales.

Following the early shutdowns of the pandemic, the self-care industry boomed back to life. Those who had been stuck at home and unable to go out now put self-care as a priority in their life and it doesn’t appear to be changing.

Brandie Chapman wasn’t sure what to expect when she opened her first franchise in 2020, only to be promptly shut down as the pandemic hit in her hometown of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Last year, the beauty and personal care market was valued at about $187 billion and expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 3% through 2027, according to a market analysis report from Statista®. The market’s largest segment, personal care, was valued at about $40 billion in 2022.
