Los Angeles — Soothe, the world’s leading on-demand massage service which delivers a licensed, insured massage therapist to one’s home, office or hotel within 60 minutes, announces the launch of its Soothe Plus subscription service, plus a Soothe Stretch program for the workplace. It will also celebrate its fifth anniversary this August.
Since launching its mobile app and massage service in Los Angeles in 2014, Soothe has delivered close to 1 million massages worldwide, and is now available in 70 markets across four countries, with over 13,000 background-checked therapists in its network.
“People continue to discover the therapeutic benefits of massage,” says Jeff Bishop, Soothe’s VP of Operations. “Regular massage improves our overall physical and mental health, which is why many clients have integrated massage into their weekly or monthly wellness regimens, much like following a fitness schedule or nutrition plan. This is the reason why we launched the Soothe Plus subscription service, which allows dedicated clients to get Soothe on an ongoing basis at reduced pricing.
As of January 1, 2019, clients who desire a one-time massage experience receive standard pricing for a 60-, 90- or 120-minute massage, which starts at $109 for a 60-minute massage in most U.S. cities and goes up (depending on city and duration of massage), while clients who purchase a Soothe Plus Yearly or Monthly membership subscription will automatically receive 20 to 25 percent off standard pricing.
Clients can purchase and book their massage via soothe.com, the Soothe app, or toll-free number, (833) 276-6843.
“Because so much of daily stress occurs in the workplace, it was also natural for Soothe to go beyond providing in-office chair massage therapy by developing Soothe Stretch, where individuals can receive assisted stretching while at work,” adds Bishop. Assisted stretching allows a therapist to target particular muscles and joints that cannot be activated through solo stretching.
The new Soothe Stretch program is offered under Soothe At Work, the world’s largest corporate massage program which sends therapists to workplaces to stretch and massage employees on a subscription basis.
Individuals whose employers are not subscribed to Soothe At Work can also request assisted stretching via regular at-home massage with Soothe if they select the sports massage option.
He continues, “Regular stretching benefits everyone, from those who are always sedentary, to those who are physically active. It helps muscles recover from a wide range of physical demands—from sitting stiffly at a desk to lifting heavy loads. It also decreases joint pain, speeds recovery, increases blood circulation and energy, and allows for greater range of motion. Helping people stretch according to their personal needs energizes and increases physical and mental function, while reducing stress and
“In 2018, Soothe delivered one massage every two minutes to happy clients worldwide,” adds Bishop. “While we have grown significantly during the last five years, we remain wholeheartedly committed to ensuring each client’s safety, while providing the highest quality massage.”
