The film is intended to be the most meaningful film ever produced on the topic of massage for therapists and consumers alike.

Envisioned by Carr and team, the new DVD is exceptional in content and creative execution. Created in 2009 on location at Jasmine Hill Gardens and Outdoor Museum in Montgomery, Alabama, the film was awarded Best of Show within the health and wellness category. The Aurora award is consciously hard to win by industry creators, as it represents excellence in all areas of creative execution.

Created 12 years ago, the Aurora Awards recognizes the best of talent among independent film and video productions and includes commercials, documentaries, industrial and corporate awards. There are two levels of competition: platinum and gold, and only one in 10 films are ever selected for award. The Best of Show, or Platinum award, receives the industry’s most beautiful statue, which literally embodies the goal of reaching for higher excellence in creative growth.

The Art of Massage was created as a tool to train massage professionals, schools and consumers on the benefits and practice of massage. The DVD is a practical instructional tool to impact the furthering of the healing arts.

Carr’s film was produced by a team of committed professionals who partnered to bring it to life. Leona Carr, creative director, Kyle Tekiela, producer, and his team were recognized for the use of location, style, color and content in creating the film.

Background

Adrian Carr is a medical massage professional with more than 35 years of lifetime experience. Carr has founded and owned six massage schools, has taught more than 300 workshops and serves on the board of directors for colleges and massage therapy schools. His work has been recognized on ESPN, TBS and has appeared in Fit Yoga, Men’s Fitness and more. In 2007, Artizen’s Touch was founded by Adrian and Leona Carr, where they provide an array of healing services for body, mind and spirit in their Dunwoody, Georgia, location.
