Angie Patrick, the developer of The Massage Warehouse Sanctuary, an event that raises funds for massage research by providing foot massage sessions at industry events, received the Performance Health/Massage Therapy Foundation 2010 Humanitarian Award, presented at the American Massage Therapy annual national convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in late September.

Patrick is a reiki practitioner, reflexologist and director of massage business development and corporate sales for The Massage Warehouse, a provider of massage-and-spa products.

The Sanctuary has raised more than $50,000 for research. Patrick also raises research awareness and funding through corporate and private fund-raising efforts, and serves on the corporate workgroup for the Massage Therapy Foundation.
