The Massage Therapy Alliance of America, an independent, non-profit organization for massage therapists and students, has begun its 2011 General Membership Drive. A veteran, organizing Leadership Group is taking applications for membership. Applications for election of the charter board of directors are now open and will continue through midnight (EST), June 16, 2011. Details will be sent to members as they join and will be posted on the alliance website.
Charter membership, until the election of officers, will be free. The newly elected board of directors will then establish membership fees and dues.
As an organization that has been established by therapists – for therapists, there is one primary membership category: massage therapist. In addition, there is a non-voting member category for students.
