There’s no need to travel all the way to Phuket, Thailand, to experience the world-class healing techniques from Thailand. Smile Thai Wellness has just launched in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and is bringing the best of Thai culture and long-standing traditional therapies to the west coast.

Smile Thai Wellness is the ideal setting to pursue comfort and relaxation through healing arts dating back thousands of years in the Asian culture. Smile Thai Wellness not only focuses on holistic massage therapy, but provides an all encompassing array of wellness services designed to awaken, energize and balance the body, including acupuncture, reflexology, registered massage therapy, Thai yoga exercise and meditation classes by Thai monks.

The founder of Smile Thai Wellness, Austin Sakchai learned the art of Thai healing as passed down by his family in Bangkok, Thailand and much like tradition, learned Thai massage, yoga and meditation when he was a monk in Thailand. He says, “I could see the benefits and improvement in people’s well-being from using the Thai massage, yoga and meditation techniques taught to me by the Thai monks at the temple. This inspired me to open Smile Thai Wellness to promote holistic therapies and share my experience in Vancouver.”

Traditional Thai massage is a hybrid of kneading and stretching, yoga and acupressure, where the therapists use their hands, knees, legs and feet to move people into a sequence of yoga-like positions. Effortlessly simple but with an immense amount of physical, mental and psychological benefits including helping to detox the body and boost the immune system, building an emotional balance and relieving stress and anxiety.
