Two-Day Energy Event Offers 16 Continuing Education Credits for Massage Therapists, MASSAGE MagazineLombard, IL. Evolving Qi: The Art of Energy Cultivation will launch its first event in the Chicago, Illinois, area Sept. 28 to 29 at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center. The event includes a variety of wellness teachings from teachers from the U.S. and Canada.

The event boasts a fusion of practices geared toward personal cultivation and self-care for massage therapists as well as the general public. Featured teachings include Tian-Jue-style qigong, developed by Chinese Master Zhou Ting-Jue. Also in the line-up are Taoist yoga, meridian stretching, a fusion of breath techniques including pranayama, holistic food healing concepts, Chinese tonic herbalism and more. Open to all experience-levels and backgrounds, Evolving Qi is designed for the beginner and seasoned practitioner alike.

This event is different in its offerings as it is the co-creation of multiple practitioners, each teaching from their area of expertise and not united under the umbrella of just one visionary. Evolving Qi was born of a desire to share an authentic awakening experience not limited by agenda that provides attendees with a heart-centered weekend and the tools to carry this balance back into their practice and their daily life.

The weekend also includes an exclusive performance by Canadian musician and sound healer Matthew Kocel. Using singing bowls, unique instruments, throat chanting and singing, Kocel delivers an experiential journey of vibrational healing and meditation. The musical event will take place Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20, or free with event admission.

Evolving Qi’s debut event will take place in the Chicagoland suburbs, convenient to both major Chicago airports. The event offers 16 continuing education credits for massage therapists. Admission cost is $160. More information is available at www.evolvingqi.com or by calling (847) 833-4649.
