Washington Sports Clubs (WSC), today announced the opening of its nineteenth location in the D.C. metro area: WSC Columbia Heights. The new club is centrally located in the newly constructed D.C. USA Mall. Other retail tenants include Target, Best Buy and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
The 41,000 square-foot, multi-recreational facility at 3100 14th Street features state-of-the-art equipment with excellent amenities, including a full-size basketball court, a 75-foot swimming pool, three group exercise studios, a member lounge, baby-sitting services, and an extensive array of the latest fitness equipment. Additionally, the facility offers convenient family changing rooms and WSC™s Sports Clubs for Kids “ a program of recreational athletics for kids featuring sports leagues, birthday parties and special events.
The fitness floor has a large selection of strength equipment which is expertly laid out to optimize one™s workout. Treadmills, ellipticals and other cardio machines, including the new AMT by Precor, are equipped with individual entertainment systems so that members can enjoy TV or music while they exercise. An extensive group exercise schedule offers a variety of classes in the large main studio, including step, total body conditioning and Zumba Dance while two other specialty studios feature cycling, pilates and yoga programs.
