Effective March 1st, NCBTMB Welcomes Matthew Gavzy to the Certification Board. Nicole Zeger to Serve a Second Term.

BURR RIDGE, IL (December 21st, 2022) – The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, Inc. (NCBTMB) announced today that Matthew Gavzy, LMT, PTA, BCTMB and Nicole Zeger, MA were positively voted through by Certificants to join the NCBTMB Certification Board, as Practitioner and Public Member, respectively, effective March 1, 2023. Dolly Wallace, LMT, BCTMB was also re-elected as the organization’s president.

“On behalf of NCBTMB, I would like to thank the Board Certificants for doing their due diligence.  We are excited to welcome Matthew to the Certification Board and to welcome Nicole back for another term,” said Shelly Johnson, NCBTMB Chief Executive Officer. 

Both Gavzy and Zeger’s terms are for three years through February 28, 2026.  

The NCBTMB Certification Board is responsible for all aspects of Board Certification and the Approved Provider program, as well as the strategic direction of the organization.  The Certification Board ensures that NCBTMB maintains its status as an accredited certifying body within the massage therapy profession.
