The Massage Therapy Certification Program is tailored to teach the techniques of Swedish Massage to its students. During the 580-hour program, students learn various massage techniques, including Chair massage, Hot stone massage, Deep tissue massage, Simple reflexology foot massage, and 2-therapist massage treatments in collaboration with a classmate.

Upon completion of the program, students are well prepared for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx), which is developed and maintained by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), as well as the Texas Massage Therapy Jurisprudence exam for licensure. Graduates of the program possess the knowledge and skills required to excel in the field of Massage Therapy.

Admission Process

Step 1: Email Roberta Wolff at roberta.wolff@tccd.edu to request a packet and required forms.

Step 2: Submit the following:

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Health Certifications 
  • A copy or photo of your Texas identification
  • Copy of your Social Security Card
  • Agreement for background check
  • Personal information form

Programs Details

The Tarrant County College offers full and part-time options for students. The full-time day program takes approximately 5 1/2 to 6 months to complete, while the part-time evening program takes approximately 8 to 9 months.
