Jan. 2, 2009 — In this hands-on workshop, on Monday, January 26, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, Sr. Virginia Connors teaches some massage techniques that will improve physical and emotional well-being. Her specialty training with cancer patients has enabled her to provide many with relaxation techniques that allow them to feel better all over.
The workshops, open only to those who have had breast cancer, will be held at Alumni House, 154 Cambridge Avenue, Adelphi University in Garden City. Pre-registration is required.
S. Virginia A. Connors, OP, BA, MA in Physical Education, is a NYS licensed massage therapist with certifications in reflexology and chair massage. She is certified by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as a medical massage therapist and is also a reiki master. She has a private practice in Mineola and Mariandale Retreat Center in Ossining and is also a consultant at Silvercrest Extended Care Facility.
