I think it is great to make massage accessible to everyone. However, it seems more and more people are not valuing what it takes to give a great massage. It’s more than a price point–time and energy spent in an intensive training course cannot be overlooked. Therapists are abusing their bodies by giving up to 8 massages a day–doesn’t sound like the reason to go to massage school. I came to this profession through perfect timing, and I am not going to give away myself or my skills just to give more massages than my body will allow. Rather, I hope to share what I have learned, and help people realize massage is not a ‘fluff and buff’ service, but an integral part of their overall health and well-being.
