April 15, 2016 — The Alliance for Massage Therapy Education (AFMTE) announced in its March newsletter that Universal Companies has committed to be the Platinum Sponsor for the 2017 Educational Congress.
“We are honored to have such wonderful support from our members and thrilled that Universal Companies was the first to commit to generously collaborate in the 2017 Biennial Educational Congress,” shared Nancy Dail, AFMTE Conference Planning Chair.
Universal announced the decision to be the 2017 Platinum Sponsor in a meeting with AFMTE Marketing Consultant Stephanie Beck at the opening reception for Universal’s new Wellness and Training Center in Torrance, California.
Terry Russell, director of sales, schools, distributors and franchises for Universal Companies, said, “I had the privilege of representing Universal Companies as an exhibitor at the 2015 Educational Congress in Minneapolis. It was an incredible opportunity to observe the joint efforts of educational organizations in the massage and wellness communities to ensure the future of massage education. Just witnessing all of the educational groups represented on one panel was an awesome experience. And this informative Congress balanced meetings, classes and adequate time with the vendors to benefit everyone in attendance.
“Registering for the next Educational Congress was a no-brainer. From the minute I left last year’s show, I knew that we would want to attend and be a sponsor in 2017. The Congress is working toward goals common to both the Alliance and my company. It’s a natural choice for us to show support and strength by standing with the massage education community,” added Russell.
2015 was the first Educational Congress where more than 10 massage and bodywork educational organizations participated during the week-long event. Representatives from more than 200 schools, companies and organizations participated in that historic event. Never before had that many massage therapy and bodywork educational and support organizations gathered all in one place.
“Our goal is to go even bigger,” shared Cherie Sohnen-Moe, AFMTE President. “I would like to see representatives from all of the related organizations take an active role in this next Educational Congress. Let’s create one event that serves the needs of all of our members!”
Exhibitor spaces fill up quickly, and there are many opportunities for companies to participate. The AFMTE encourages you to review the new 2017 Sponsorship and Exhibitor Prospectus for the Educational Congress on the AFMTE website.
