Elements Massage® (Elements) had another year of double digit growth with revenues up 21 percent in 2016. The Elements franchise system added 21 new studios and is projecting an additional 30 studio openings this year. Driving that growth is Elements’ commitment to providing the most personalized and customized therapeutic massage in the industry and it is the cornerstone of the brand’s marketing efforts in 2017. The Elements brand is being revitalized with a new look and theme called “Welcome to Youtopia.”
Cassie Augustine, a partner and chief strategy officer at Denver-based Agency Zero, the firm responsible for creating the new marketing campaign, says they looked at what competitors were doing within the massage space and saw an opportunity in how Elements differs from other brands.

“Elements asks questions. There’s nothing cookie cutter about a massage experience there. Every massage is custom,” says Augustine. “We want to elevate the consumer’s understanding about the personal touch Elements offers. Youtopia is a place that’s all about you, the consumer…personalized and done just the way you want it.”
Anchored in the theme of a perfect world called “Youtopia,” the imagery suggests peace and tranquility in a clean, white, cloud-like environment. The messaging evokes the feeling that a massage at Elements is a great escape, a vacation, and a special place where consumers can find their own personal Youtopia.
“Welcome to Youtopia is an exciting foray into a more brand-focused message that differs from other massage franchises,” adds Adam Passarelli, vice president of field marketing at Elements Massage. “We hope people will be able to connect and fall in love with it.”
The new campaign is currently being rolled out in all of Elements’ communications from radio, cable and digital advertising to a website refresh. The “Welcome to Youtopia” branding will also be displayed in all of the lobbies across the system.
