For the first time, National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) board certificants will be awarded college credit toward a degree, according to an NCBTMB press release.
Effective immediately, Siena Heights University, which has seven campuses in Michigan as well as a distance-learning program, will recognize board certification as valued at 33 of the 120 total credits required to earn a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in massage therapy.
