Members of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) will offer massage to walkers at the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure events, which benefit finding a cure for breast cancer. The events take place throughout the U.S.
AMTA will be the official provider of massage therapists at the Energizer tent on Saturday nights, where member volunteers will provide walkers with 10-minute chair massages at events in 15 cities.
“AMTA is excited about maintaining this relationship and to give back to the community,” says AMTA President Kathleen Miller-Read. “Volunteering and giving to the community are things our association and our members care about. The response of our members has been outstanding and clearly something they feel expresses who they are as massage therapists.”
