In the big picture massage chains (as most types of mass marketing) are a benefit to the public awarness of our profession. The more commonly seen the more comfortable the general public becomes. I think the real issue is the poor quality of training therapist are receiving from today’s schools. Chains tend to hire new therapist, and it discourages people from tryin a second time(with any of us)when their first experience was not good/painful/not being heard.
