I have worked as a massage therapist at a franchise and the experience is a.mixed one. If you are new to the field you do a lot of hands on time since you are booked often, so it is good in this way but since the franchise is based on a model for anyone to own it fall s short here. Since the owners do not understand the field you are often worked overtime and not appreciated. Gaining “memberships” is the goal and not the wellbeing of the client. The franchises might have brought the attention of affordable massaged but has downgraded the value of the quality and importance.
