EmblemHealth is teaming up with WLTW™s 106.7 Lite fm to launch Respecting your health, Respecting your environment a consumer initiative to educate tri-state area businesses and residents on healthcare in a green world. The initiative kicked off with an special edition of Get Connected with 106.7™s Christine Nagy coinciding with the launch of EmblemHealth, the parent company of Group Health Incorporated (GHI) and HIP Health Plan of New York (HIP).
The multi-platform integrated promotion will feature daily green tips about the health benefits that derive from promoting a green environment. At EmblemHealth, we strive to reduce our environmental impact through a number of initiatives including electronic communications in place of paper. We encourage our physicians to electronically transmit their claims which not only reduces paper but results in faster payment. We are delighted to join with WLTW to increase awareness of what we all can be doing, stated Anthony L. Watson, Chairman and CEO of EmblemHealth.
A special landing page will exist on www.1067litefm.com Keyword: Green Emblem containing educational materials, video, tips and more about green healthcare solutions. From October 6th -November 2nd, on-line users will be encouraged to share their own ideas on what good green changes they have done or are currently embarking on in their community, work or home. Each week one winner will be chosen and receive a cash prize of $500.
Throughout the fall, over 50,000 copies of a special Green Guide will be handed out around the tri-state area and at WLTW events. The Guide will include tips on how to get started, health care in a green world, how to be green everyday, and how to inspire your community to become active.
